i'm new here and because i'm coming to visit my relatives in manila in a year it would be great to know if there is any great gig places and bands that are worth watching.

i wanna learn more about the culture related to music... where is mr.bright? ahem...

anarcho-punk scene--2003 first gig in sn pedro elementary school bustos bulacan organize by young punk dudes compose of baliuag and bustos called urban chaos 7 bands attend here including bad omen,not 4 sale and t.s.a.- october 2003 a 2nd gig organize again here(the same venue) 5 bands play here mostly from cainta bands like ism,bastardos,rebel puppets,aloha,tualyang baka and manila bands like no description,not 4 sale i forgot the others...that year also we adopt the food not bombs feeding project,we also do some protest like anti-mcdo,buy nothing day,s.o.n.a. and supports on environmental campaign...by 2004 we organize discussion and film showing before the gig...by 2005 another anarcho-punk collective rise in sapangpalay bulacan called United for Peace Collective they also organize gig and food not bombs project...
after that every year we organize some activity and by 2006 we initiate a guerellia gardening project at that time we change the name of the group called Pinagkaisahan Collective,that year also we put up an infoshop/social center project that lasted for 4 months struggling on rent,in this center we had t-shirt printing and patches making,regular discussion every week and an alternative awareness program.we invites some students,punks and people in the community..last july 2009 we organize a 1st annual food not bombs bulacan convention the first part was a gig and filmshowing on july 11 and 2nd part july 25 a forum about philippine peace agenda...that's for now...

boxwagon started 2005 with there rawest punk rock music.. Boxwagon dont follow trend.. unlike those trendy hardcore in my town. thats why i've said the statement.
