in my point, pinoystraightedge's enthusiasm is understandable.
kung galing ka ba naman sa ganun na lifestyle, then sxe would be a breath of fresh air and would be liberating. i was happy to find out that such a lifestyle as sxe existed.
i had my fair share of criticism from friends/classmates/peers/workmates who never did get my lifestyle. at a time when people weren't familiar with it, imagine the embarrassment and the things i had to put up with. but never did i lash out against these people. the best way was just to explain my life choices in a proper manner and ask them to respect it. most of the time it worked. other times i just shut my mouth. it worked for me.

though everything should be taken in moderation.
excess leads people down, be it with drugs, alcohol, or even ideologies.
openly declaring myself as edge does not work for me anymore.
sporting xxx's and spewing out slogans, though positive and all, makes it seem comical, almost like a caricature/stereotype if you folks forgive the terms. i'm not one to force opinions down other folks throats.

scary though though is that para siyang religion at first with these principles and all.
now who wants to be like those people screaming "praise the lord!" or "jesus!" or "in jeeeezus name!" every second or so? i have a family friend who's like that and it annoys everyone.

you should lighten up on the sxe talk... man, all you yap about is sxe
this and that... there's nothing wrong with being one (i have lots of
sxe friends that i absolutely adore!) but are you capable of talking
about something else? do you even listen to non-sxe music?

yes, being a former-addict to sxe is a great transition, and im sure
most of people here are proud of you for choosing a positive life. If
thats whats good for you, then GREAT!

But rubbing in our faces that drugs/alcohol/smokes is THE evil, then
maybe you should ZIP IT and LOCK IT FOR GOOD. I drink and smoke but i
have never been a "burden to society"... maybe its about time na wag
namn natin iblame yung mistakes natin sa mga bagay like drugs and
alcohol, broken families, not having enough attention, sexual abuse,

i think you should, "de-edge" yourself a little. Napaka seryoso mo

yes, being a former-addict to sxe is a great transition, and im sure
most of people here are proud of you for choosing a positive life. If
thats whats good for you, then GREAT!

But rubbing in our faces that drugs/alcohol/smokes is THE evil, then
maybe you should ZIP IT and LOCK IT FOR GOOD. I drink and smoke but i
have never been a "burden to society"... maybe its about time na wag
namn natin iblame yung mistakes natin sa mga bagay like drugs and
alcohol, broken families, not having enough attention, sexual abuse,
bad childhood, peer pressure, etc... tao ang may utak. bagay lang ang
