since i love this genre and there's no thread for it here yet,i'll start it off...
discuss anything related to emo here, and if i say emo, i mean bands like Moss Icon, Orchid, Pg.99, Don Martin 3, Loma Prieta, Kias Fansuri etc..

seryoso, when did a serious chaotic emo band come out of luzon? i haven't heard much about anything in the ebullition/gravity records vein coming out there. lots of people tell me about the laguna emo scene, but i never heard of a time where people were doing really thrashy screamy stuff over octave chords after 3 minute long plucked intros. you know, the stuff they call chaotic emo or emoviolence.

its hard to get people with the same passion as you or we do. Starting a band isnt easy, especially when youre surrounded by people whose idea of "emo/screamo" is scene music or self-mutilation and not hardcore music.

Atleast hardcore bands play here in the metro and are from far places pa, and kudos for Take 4 for bringing bands from other countries.

lucky you, you have paeng, and you were able to smother your bandmates with skramz. plus, here in luzon, you do know how the 'kids' go. not many appreciate this kind of music and would rather play something softer or whatever. at some point, if ever you get them to play with you, the same reason why TAOBAI broke-up may apply. having different music tastes makes your band dysfunctional.

Bad thing is.. The only bands I know that passed that "I'm starting something.." level is CB and TAOBAI... Haven't heard anything after that.. Two Houses is suddenly dead and here I'm hoping they can follow the two..

I hope I could find a bassist and a guitarist soon..

hi! sa net, jenny piccolo is emo violence daw pero nung napakinggan ko sila. power violence naman. may coversong pa sila ng chain of strenght. kaya gulong gulo ako sa genra na yun. hehehe. reversal of man din is emo violence. pede po mahingi yung link ng apocalypse and annihilation? hehehe thanks!!!

sa kaso naman ng jenny piccolo, wala namang problema kung nsa PV or emoviolence sila sa tingin ko, sila nga mismo eh hindi siguro nila mapapagtripan kung boxed-in sila sa mga ganung classifications. people like me just sorts out stuff para madali ang buhay. all i rly care is that they're DIY hardcore punks doing good music.
