Not so long ago, many people were convinced of the world’s impending doom. Nostradamus
predicted terror descending from the sky in July 1999. On New Year’s
Day 2000, we made it unscathed through Y2K and the near-hysterical
scenarios that every computer across the planet would crash due to a

tornadoes, typhoons, earthquakes and floods. One
prediction that the U.S. is headed for five natural disasters has some
believing in the doomsday theory. Another
factor is that many of the world’s religions and most famous prophets
reference something cataclysmic happening around Dec. 21, 2012. The
medieval predictions of Merlin, the Book of Revelation and the Chinese
oracle of the I Ching all point to this specific date as the end of
civilization. Also,
one of the best known Catholic prophets, Irishman Maelmhaedhoc
O'Morgair, better known as St. Malachy, predicts that the Pope after
John Paul II would be the last. Then
there are those who believe in the famous predictions of Nostradamus.
Those studying the Prophecies of Nostradamus say that he has indicated
the possibility of a Third World War. It
is believed that a major terrorist attack on the U.S., assassination of
some world leaders and another war in the Middle East may precede the
Third World War, as well as numerous natural disasters. Sounds a lot
like the world we live in today. There
is also this tie in to modern-day technology. The Web Bot Project,
developed in the late 1990s to assist in making stock market
predictions using a system of spiders to crawl the Internet and search
for keywords, much like a search engine does, also came up with the
same date.
Skeptics
point to a long history of "Failed Doomsdays," but many oracles of doom
throughout history have a disturbingly accurate track record.

opinion:no one ever foretold a
momentous tragic event ranging from extreme misfortune to utter
overthrow or ruin this world. catastrophe and genocide is yet to come.
we'll all suffer from our own faults. but the said date may not be that
real as they believe, no one knows when he himself is going to die nor
to other people, unless it is suicidal tendency. 2012 is just their
another day of walking in the park, 9-5 routine, good at golf, washing
the car, dinner dates, fucks at sun down, die the other day with their
boring life. its just the way it is... make a change for your 2012
life.. life isn't just a dumbfuck enjoyment. we're all in need of an
existence mundane.. all we can do is to act correctly in every
situation we encounter. and learn from mistakes.

not new to this world, kung nabasa nyo na yung
chaos theory from crichton's jurassic park or if

..but man is different...a small populace will probably
survive i guess due to mankind's proven resiliency

my prediction is the contrary to popular thinking..
i think if a catastrophe should occur, it will be the developed
countries which will fall first, since they are more vulnerable
to panic, mass hysteria and they are more dependent to centralized
technology and utilities..

conflicts, drought, plague, disasters and so on will gradually
decimate the world population, there will be food and basic supply shortages
which will eventually lead to chaos and violence,
all society and so called civilization as we know it will crumble..

all major culture will be forgotten, things like the internet will
either disappear or be confined to the few remaining survivors who have the knowledge and resources to rebuild.
kinda like your everyday hollywood doomsday movie
society will be reduced to an anarchist's dream of people surviving in
small individual groups, and our children will have to start from scratch,
forgetting everything we have done on earth, which is actually
a good thing...

theres no running away from it, we have fucked the world so much
it will start fucking us back...
