off topic, pero related in a way..

pauwe ako kanina me nakita akong bagets na naka "the casualties" (us punk band) shirt.
at yung bagets sa tantya ko eh di naman kilala ang casualties.

it may be just me but
why like dat?

2nd placers would be
"the exploited" (tangina winorship ko to mula nung teen edyer pa ako e)
"slayer"
"rancid" [and out come the wolves cover design](damn. sa binan alone dami me suot nito na di tugma sa naka suot.)
"obituary" (yes, ive seen a few..)
"ramones" [dalawa design nito, isang presidential seal, at isang group shot] for real.

Ung GF ng tropa ko nag suot ng Indian Summer na shirt. Ako naman sobrang gulat na gulat.
Hindi lang kasi may Indian Summer sya na shirt, pati narin dahil hindi nya alam ang Indian Summer.

what about Vans and Chucks? Naging mandatory na sa mga "wants to be rockers" ang brand na 'to.

"Para maging rocker dapat naka Vans..."

Nakita ko 'tong transition na 'to nung bata ako, yung mga dating hiphop na bata sa amin way back 2000, after nag boom ang EMO/Screamo/Metalcore culture lahat naka Vans na.

Don't get me wrong, im a Vans guy since i was 16. Sinusuot ko sya kasi mura, saka komportable kahit ipang trabaho. Pero yung ibang mga bata ngayon ginagawang statement na lang ang mga ganitong brand para masabing "part sila ng kultura." Hindi sila bibili ng Vans or Chucks dahil maganda, bibilhin nila kasi "kelangan sa porma."

not to mention the discrimination of music genre's. para sa kanila "poser" ang mga bandang hindi sumisigaw, hindi matigas ang tugtugan, ang hindi marunong pumorma yung mga ganun.
