Man, when you got your backfield and midfield wanting to attack than do what their supposed to be doing you know your in trouble.

Add the fact that they want to beat the bloody arse out of each other then you got a good team. They are surely missing Beckham's "rather pass than shoot" play. Lampard and Gerrard could probably go in a fist fight in their next game.

Seriously though, Germany has the best midfield i've seen so far. Im changing my pick from Argentina to Germany. Michael Ballack-less team and still dominating.

Then again, I haven't seen Brazil and Spain play so im still not convinced.

And the Vuvuzela (horn) from South Africa is making a lot of buzz.
It seems a lot of WC watchers outside South Africa could not bear the sound of the horn, which makes the stadium sound like a beehive for the entire 90 minutes.

haha. So ok... Spain couldn't make a good finish even though they dominated the run of the play last night.

But fans and nonfans are using this to argue on various online forums. Trashers of Spain has come out with words like "weak team", "nachos", and "muchachos". But the team's defenders are coming out as well with words like "saludos y viva espanya", "this is the same squad of Euro-cup champions" and "they'll definitely come back and they'll come back hard".

And I'm having a fun time reading their reactions.

No team that has lost its opening match has ever raised the world cup.
