| i'm branching out. been trying to listen to stuff as far off from the hardcore spectrum as possible and i ended up listening to RnB and soul. not crap RnB, i mean RnB with black dudes, bass guitars and 3 singers who tend to look like angela davis. it's a guilty pleasure and all and i was wondering if any of you guys listened to similar stuff since i'm new to this. i've been listening to erykah badu, jill scott, earth wind and fire and lauryn hill among others. | |

| I FEEL U HOMEY... THIS HARDCORE BULLSHIT CAN GET ANNOYING AT TIMES. IVE BEEN FUCKIN WITH THIS GENRE FOR AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER. IM NOT GONNA FRONT AND ACT LIKE I KNOW THIS SHIT INSIDE OUT, BUT ASIDE FROM GIVING YOU THE OBVIOUS MOTOWN SUGGESTIONS, I ALWAYS PUT MY MONEY ON OTIS REDDING AND SAM COOKE. SAM COOKE IN PARTICULAR. I SPENT PLENTY A NIGHTS WINDING DOWN AFTER A DAY'S WORK TO THIS NIGHT BEAT (APTLY NAMED, BTW) CD. IT NEVER FAILS, ALWAYS ON POINT. | |
