recording /mixing issues

hi! im sure may nagpost na nito dati kaso hindi ko na makita yung thread. its about recording and mixing songs. may mga programs ba kayong ginagamit specially sa mixing part?

lets say na-irecord yung songs using pro-tools. is there a possibility na ma-mix sya using a different program? from what ive heard kapag pro-tools ang gamit mo, pro-tools rin lang makakapag-open nun. eh kelangan kasi ng licence yun , ang mahal pa naman nun. hehehe. may programs ba na nakakapag-mix kahit ibang platform ang gamit mo?

hindi na kasi possible i-mix yung end product di ba?

Export mo yung individual files to WAV files...hehe. I'm sure this will work.

to universaly known program para mabuksan.
kung audio eh kailangan ma i transfer into mp3 file para
mabuksan mo sa lahat ng program,
gudluck zom sa i mimix mo.

may question po ako uli, kelangan pa ba ng soundcard if imimix ko na lang? kasi, from the guitar papasok sya sa mixer then mixer papasok sa computer through soundcard di ba? so hindi na kelangan nung soundcard sa mixing kasi pumasok na sya sa computer para sa final product.

bandsound(vocals/guitar/bass/drums) ---- mixers(hardwares) ---- computer (thru soundcards) ---- mixing/editing (software)

ieedit mo yung sound using mixing program hindi na ba kelangan ng soundcard para ok sya lumabas kapag final product na? i hope di kayo naguluhan.

sa experience ko pwede na walang dedicated soundcard. yun mga motherboard ngayon usually yung built in nila audio device kaya na mag handle ng stereo recording output [2 channels]
pero siguro kung dvd type 5.1 surround mix kelangan talaga.

Fruity Loops - drum track basic measures
Adobe Audition - drum track sequencing, volume levelling, mixing
