this genre had a mainstream revival this year and last year. good thing, i just hope it doesn't turn itself out to be a trend (like what happened with the "emo" brouhaha)

local: coffin ride, bembol rockers, pusakal, dami natin talented bands dito..

growing up in the bay area , I saw The Hellbillys and Tiger Army play with (old) AFI at the Trocadero in SF and 924 Gilman in Berkley almost every other weekend,
pyschobilly dudes got real cool hair.

i saw bembol rockers once. nofx did a tour here in the philippines then kinabukasan nun may free show si fishbone sa shop nya. tumugtog yung bembol rockers dun. galing. i'm not sure pero nakita ko dati sa tv na yung backing band ni sitti are from bembol rockers. plus identical twins ata yung drummer nila. i dunno
