ive been to a fair share of noise/soundart gigs and believe me, there are times you would need a pair of earplugs. ace hardware has a nice selection sa construction gear nila. ranging from around 25 to 50 price range if you cant afford those sa audiophile.

check mo sa section na may mga eye goggles and gloves. the orange soft plugs are quite comfy and wont muffle your hearing too much

ive been shooting too much gigs and consequently my hearing has suffered quite a bit.
the last straw was during the darkest hour gig. i was up front shooting in front of 15-foot baffles slamming all the low end frequiencies into the crowd. i was 3 feet away from that wall of sound.

my ears really hurt after.

thing with hardcore/punk is that you can dance/mosh/go crazy to distract yourself kaya di mo napapansin yung sakit.

with noise/soundart gigs you're just standing/sitting there gawking at the performer/s wondering what the hell is going on or just spaced out and amazed if you're into that stuff. and when it gets intense, you notice it really hurts a lot.

so, take care of your hearing folks, we all love music.
