SKREWHEDS (reunion show) 11.19.2010

It's cooking time again!
Binan, Laguna's bastard sons of hardcore are finally doing a one-off reunion show this November.

Skrewheds had been one of the bands to come out of the Strong South, Laguna scene back in the early 90's together with contemporaries Biofeedback, ADA, NFH, Social Outrage and the like.

This line-up on the reunion show includes original members Spike on vocals, Alvin on guitars, 90's 2nd generation line up bassist Kulacho, session drummer GJ (8 Ounce) and adding a new guitarist c/o Dexter (8 Ounce)..

from the band who brought you classic 90's Laguna anthems "Salot sa Lipunan", "Kasangre" "South City Hardcore" etc. Don't miss out on this one night only show. ENTRANCE is only 50 bucks that comes with 1 free beer.

*Alvin might also be slated to spin some Reggae/Dub/Electronica/Hip-hop tunes in the QC area around that week, if time permits. I'll keep you guys posted for more details. Thanks.

sa mga galing ng manila papunta dito,
1) sakay lang kayo ng hanggang alabang. tapos pagbaba ng alabang, sakay kayo ng pacita na jeep. pagbaba ng pacita na jeep, sakay kayo ng "sta.rosa" or "cabuyao" na jeep., kamo ibaba kayo sa tulay bago ng perpetual college.
tong tulay na to, me kalsada sya sa kanto, pasukin nyo yun maglakad na lang kayo kasi mejo taga ang tricycle maningil. anyway 3-5 mins walk lang naman sa venue mula sa tulay. from here nasa right side nyo ang venue. kanto nya is yung mini-rotonda.

2) second option is from manila, edsa or wherever, sakay kayo ng pacita na bus, then same instructions pa rin pag galing ng pacita.

[actually gaya ng sabi ni johnerr, sa Olivarez plaza pwede na kayo mag trike kung ayaw nyo maglakad, siguro P25-P30 ang sisingilin ng trike jan, considered as "special" trip na kaya ganun, baratin nyo na lang]

sa mga galing ng laguna from sta.rosa to cabuyao to calamba to SPL to Batangas,
1) sakay kayo ng balibago na jeep. baba ng balibago, sakay kayo ng binan "bayan" na jeep. sabihin nyo sa driver na san antonio ang daan nyo, at magpapa baba kayo sa Bahay Tisa. alam na ng mga driver yun. Ibababa nya kayo mismo sa labas ng venue.

sa mga naka kotse na galing ng manila, take SLEX then exit kayo sa "Carmona" exit. paglampas ng carmona tollgate, pagtapos nyo bayaran ang toll, sundan nyo lang pa-kaliwa yung mga jeep na binan.
(yung pa kanan kasi na jeep is mga Carmona, Cavite na ang punta nun)
di-direcho lang yan papunta sa binan town proper.
Pagdating nyo sa intersection ng Olivarez Plaza, yung me yellow cab sa kanan at me 711 sa kaliwa, tatawid pa kayo gaya ng mga jeep na binan.
pagtawid nyan, sa pangalawang kanto, biglang liliko pa-left yung mga jeep kasi papasok na sila ng bayan ng binan. hayaan nyo lang sila mag left at dumirecho lang kayo.
sunod na intersection nyo na is yung mini-Rotonda, kung saan nasa kanto nya mismo ang venue na Bahay Tisa. Nasa right side nyo sya kung ito ang sundan nyong instructions.

Thanks everyone for making this show happen. Hope evryone enjoyed themselves well that night. Yep, I know there was a couple of jackasses ruining the pit but then that's just it. Pasalamat sila nakabantay ako sa mga amps nun. Anyway I'm so high from the Skrewheds fever that I haven't had enough rest these past few days, kaya ngayon ko lang na upload ang pics. Hopefully we can put up more shows soon.

Thank you Skrewheds and all the bands and people who were there. This show had been one that I'd been dreaming of for the longest time and I'm glad I've lived to see it thru.
