SPIN Earth is looking for correspondents!

What's up everyone!

My name's Jessica and I'm writing from SPIN Earth in San Francisco, CA, USA. I've followed this forum/website enough to know there is a lot of awesome, raw passion surrounding the DIY/HC/Punk scene in the Philippines.

I am wondering if anyone would like to share their interests with us on a global, magazine-style format such as SPIN Earth. Check out the ASIA section of our website for an idea of what we are looking for! http://www.spinearth.tv/region/asia

I am looking to expand our Asia coverage in search for bloggers, writers, music lovers, etc. who already participate in some sort of online media (blogs, forums, discussion boards) and is willing to contribute to our grassroots objective of syndicating real-life experiences of music and popular culture the way it is seen through the eyes of the people that live it.

Our concept aims to publish experiences from shows, interviews with attendees or artists, original videos, pictures of anything that captures the untapped local music scene from that part of the world through correspondents that are willing to share their culture. It wouldn't be anything overdone, we are looking for stuff you'd normally be blogging about--anything cool and exciting you would attend or tell your friends about. This gains a broader audience for your own blog/forum post, and lets us diversify our SPIN Earth coverage!

Hey Jep!

SPIN Earth is the online global music sister site of SPIN and there is some crossover, but we do not have a print version. A part of our objective is to make the experience of culture and music available for all to see, for free, online! Correspondents for SPIN Earth have gotten positive feedback and notoriety for representing their area on a global level. It's definitely a cool way to represent a diverse musical culture through the eyes of the people that love it and live it.

Our correspondents make an account and login/username on http://www.spinearth.tv/ and submit their content through there. Be sure to browse our website for a better idea of what we do. It is also an awesome way for you to network and promote your own work since you can link back to your own blog/website.

It's a damn shame, I cannot speak the Tagalog or Visayan.

I'm an American-born Filipina, and my parents spoke Visayan to each other, but I never caught on. It is DEFINITELY on my "to do" list though!
